Corona virus - update

To our Customers,


Here is an update on the situation in China.


Chinese companies are closed according to previous plans and the shipping companies announce that they are keeping operations going since there are staff working remotely.

Over the past 24 hours, however, we have received information from a number of shipping companies that they are canceling more departures in February than previously planned, so-called "Blank sailings", which is a consequence of factories being forced to keep closed.

When it comes to air transport to and from China, several airlines have canceled their flights, waiting for the situation regarding the Corona virus to stabilize.

China extends leave for the Chinese New Year

To our Customers,


Due to the Corona virus, the Chinese state has decided that all companies should extend the leave for the Chinese New Year.


Opening dates vary between different cities and here are some examples:


All offices are required to re-open no earlier than:

2nd February: Mainland China (Except Wuhan province)

9th February: Suzhou, Wuxi, Nantong, Changzhou and Zhangjiagang

10th February: Shanghai, Ningbo, Jiaxing, Shaoxing and Hangzhou

Autofreight project

We are proud to participate in this unique project. The Autofreight project aims to reduce the environmental impact, contribute to research for autonomous vehicles and increase the collaboration between companies in Viared Borås. A 32 meter long HCT vehicle with the capacity to haul two 40' containers between Gothenburg Port and Viared, Borås.

About the project
Autofreight is a research and development project to enable automation of long vehicle combinations between Borås and Gothenburg harbor. The project is licensed for technical testing by the Swedish Transport Agency until February 28, 2024. It is funded by Vehicle Strategic Research and Innovation (FFI), which is a collaboration between the state and the automotive industry, as well as participating parties. Volvo Trucks provides a truck equipped with sensors that GDL Transport - one of the transport companies that currently runs containers on the route - will test run. GDL in turn provides five trailers and one dolly. In addition, Volvo has invested in a vehicle for the Chalmers laboratory Revere for vehicle-related research. Borås City is responsible for the construction of the traffic system for more efficient container transport together with Ellos Group, Kerry Logistics, Fristads, Speed ​​Group, Volvo Buses and GDL Transport. Chalmers University of Technology leads the tests with self-driving technology in a truck on AstaZero's test track (truck and trailer supplied by Volvo) and collects data and further develops the transport management system together with the technology consulting company Combitech.

Important information about our traffic between Italy and Sweden

To our Customers,


We have been informed that Austria extends its ban on heavy traffic from 21 December 2019 to 13 April 2020. All heavy traffic is prohibited from passing Austria from Saturdays 07.00 to Sundays 22.00.

This can cause major problems for all outbound traffic from Italy. If the trucks does not pass through Austria before the stop, they will remain standing at the border.

This means that the trucks can be delayed to Sweden with a day's delay as a result.
